MIRM’s Financial Literacy Workshop
My Shining Star Foundation (MySSF) organised a two-day financial literacy training session for its members on the 8 th and 9 th March at the PJ Campus of Brickfields Asia College. The main objective of the workshop was to empower MySSF members with financial awareness and education, to enable them in turn to share the knowledge with underprivileged teens. Mr. Brian Lariche, Head of Community Development for the Make It Right Movement (MIRM) conducted the training session. He is also an ASEAN committee member for Aflatoun International, an NGO based in the Netherlands which offers social and financial education to children and young adults worldwide. MySSF is a charitable organisation founded in 2014 that focuses on the development of young challenged teens living in homes in Malaysia to lead a balanced and happy adulthood. The organisation also provides specialised and practical training programmes for underprivileged teens.
