Women of Will: Women of Will Entrepreneurship Development (WOWED) Training
Women of Will (WOW) organised its first Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme or commonly known as WOWED for the year 2019, to prepare two new batches of WOW’s selected women beneficiaries prior to loan disbursements by the organisation.
The complimentary training sessions took place on the 28th of April 2019 at the PJ Campus of Brickfields Asia College. There were forty women beneficiaries who attended the event. Thirty women were trained by an internal trainer from WOW on the basic steps for running and managing small businesses, for example, marketing, costing and basic accounting.
The other 10 women beneficiaries attended an advanced course which was conducted by another internal trainer on more advanced topics such as financial management and business strategy.
The venue was supported by The Make It Right Movement (MIRM).
WOW is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that aims to transform the lives of less-fortunate women in Malaysia and their communities. These women are single mothers, widows, abandoned or abused women and women with incapacitated husbands living in poverty.
