Al-Hasan’s Volunteer Network (AHVN) hosted a Fundraising Workshop attended by 40 participants from various backgrounds, organisations, nationalities and universities with the aim to provide knowledge and information on the best and the most efficient ways of fundraising. The workshop was held on 9th February 2019 at Brickfields Asia College’s KL Campus. Mr Hasan Al-Akraa conducted the workshop by sharing some of his personal fundraising experiences and also ideas that could be implemented by the attendees who are keen to lend a helping hand to underprivileged communities in Malaysia. Some of the ideas include hosting charity drives, walkathons and Crowdfunding. The 40 participants were then divided into groups to brainstorm and prepare a brief presentation on the input shared by Mr Hasan earlier for the sustainability of underprivileged communities in Malaysia. The Make It Right Movement (MIRM) supported the initiative by providing assistance in booking the venue and provision of meals. AVHN is a platform dedicated to providing volunteering opportunities through social and charitable projects. They also focus on serving the refugee and underprivileged communities.Al-Hasan’s Volunteer Network: Fundraising Workshop
