In conjunction with the International Day of People with Disability and the Human Rights Week, Brickfields Asia College’s Make It Right Movement (MIRM), Grab Malaysia and the Challenges Foundation came together to promote limitless mobility for people with restricted mobility through the launch of Grab’s social impact programme, GrabSuperHeroes. Held on Friday, 9 December 2016, at BAC’s PJ Campus, the launch was graced by the Country Head of Grab Malaysia, Jaygan Fu, as well as Mary Chen, Founder of Challenges Foundation and Editor of Challenges Media, Malaysia’s first cross-disability lifestyle magazine. Through the programme, GrabSuperheroes will be mobilised to assist senior citizens and OKU card holders on how to use the Grab app, giving them affordable and easy access to transportation. Additionally, Grab users under this programme will automatically receive an RM3 discount for 20 rides monthly, as well as special assistance from Grab drivers when using Grab’s services. With GrabSuperHeroes, Grab hopes to solve the issue of restricted mobility for those affected by it, giving them a new sense of independence and freedom.
