Pejabat Parlimen Petaling Jaya: Parliamentary Reform’ by Sir David Natzler (retired Senior Clerk and UK Parliamentary Reform Expert)

Pejabat Parlimen Petaling Jaya organised a forum on ‘Parliamentary Reform’ by Sir David Natzler, a retired Senior Clerk and UK Parliamentary Reform Expert. This forum was held on 21 November 2019 at the PJ Campus of Brickfields Asia College. Despite the pouring rain, 30 participants consist of Members of Parliaments, Law Students and Volunteers attended this forum. The forum started by introducing the 2 panellist who are each an expert in Parliamentary Reform being Sir David Natzler and YB Maria Chin. This was followed by a focused Q&A session to enable the participants to get more information and clarification on the Parliamentary Reform as a whole and able tell the differences between the UK Parliament and Parliament of Malaysia. The forum ended with an opinion sharing session when Sir David provided feedback to some of the issues raised by YB Maria Chin and the participants. Mrs Elizabeth Wong, an Assemble-women who attended this event applauded Pejabat Parlimen Petaling for organising such a benevolent event as she managed to clarify on how certain things should be conducted when it comes to Parliamentary Reform’ with the experts themselves. The Make It Right Movement (MIRM) supported the event by securing the venue.
