Hiring Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) - Half-day Dialogue Session for Equal Opportunity Employers

Specialjobs.com.my, the first free online job portal catering solely to the special needs community and a by-product of Agensi Pekerjaan Jobsbac Sdn Bhd (a wholly owned subsidiary of BAC Education Group) hosted its first dialogue session towards creating an inclusive workforce in Malaysia.

The sharing session was held on 29 January 2019 at BAC’s PJ Campus which was open exclusively for equal opportunity employers. It was attended by 63 participants within the Klang Valley ranging from government agencies to corporations who are keen to employ PWDs as part of their workforce.

Brian Lariche, Head of Community Development of Make It Right Movement moderated the event by highlighting the benefits and challenges encountered by employers who hire PWDs. He subsequently provided some pointers and solutions to mitigate concerns faced by employers who hire PWDs.

Specialjobs.com.my was launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources, Malaysia, with the aim to connect employers with jobseekers living with disabilities by securing the right talent at no cost. The job portal also seeks to promote inclusive employment in Malaysia in line with the objectives of the Government.
