CANSURVIVE’s Monthly Talk- The Art and Science Of Cancer Treatment
Cansurvive Centre Malaysia Berhad (CANSURVIVE) organised a talk on “The Art and Science of Cancer Treatment” on 16 March 2019 at the PJ Campus of Brickfields Asia College. The session was conducted by Dr Muhammad Firdaus, who studied and mastered the science of Ganotherapy, Iridology, Chinese Medicine, and Ayurveda in addition to his MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) in Modern Medicine. Dr Firdaus is renowned for spearheading the medical concept of Holistic Healing Medicine which combines both the Western science and the age-old Eastern practice by developing a healing approach known as Ganotherapy, blending the best of both the Western and Eastern medicine. A total of 40 participants attended this complimentary session.
Among the highlights of the session include valuable insights on chemotherapy treatment. Despite being an Ayurvedic practitioner, Dr Firdaus strongly recommends chemotherapy treatment in some cases. He defines chemotherapy as an invasive treatment that targets human cells that grow and divide quickly throughout the body, including the good cells. Dr Firdaus also shared with participants the three main significance of chemotherapy treatment in treating cancer patients. Firstly, chemotherapy treatment may be a cure as it may destroy cancerous cells in the human body although in a majority of cases there is a low probability of success. Secondly, chemotherapy may assist in controlling cancer from spreading to other parts of the body or even to slow down the growth rate of the said cancerous tumour. Lastly, it may also reduce symptoms by shrinking tumours.
Cansurvive is a non-profit cancer charity organisation that aims to provide guidance and community support for cancer patients as well as their family and friends. It also strives to raise public awareness on the benefits of holistic, non-invasive cancer therapies, nutrition and diet, types of orthodox treatments, and access to such treatments.
