Spinal Muscular Atrophy Malaysia’s Annual General Meeting 2019
The Spinal Muscular Atrophy Malaysia (SMAM) held its Annual General Meeting for the year 2019 on 23 February 2019 at the PJ Campus of Brickfields Asia College. 35 members of the organisation attended the AGM.
The meeting was chaired by Cik Siti Safura Jaapar, the President of SMAM, and commenced with the presentation of the Annual Report of Activities and Statements for 2018. This was followed by thanking the former SMAM Exco members for the 2018/2019 session as well as highlights on some of the activities and projects that were successfully completed by the said Exco members.
Subsequently, there was an appointment of new batch of SMAM Exco members for 2019/2020 session. During the meeting, a colouring contest also took place to keep the children entertained.
The Make It Right Movement (MIRM) supported the session by providing assistance in booking the venue and the provision of meals.
SMAM is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) built to promote awareness and support for children and parents born with a rare condition called spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).
